Multi-Day Appointments

Can someone help me figure out how to change my settings to allow for multi-day appointments?  I am brand new to square appointments and want to use this for my outdoor adventure and wilderness medicine education company.  I do trips locally, nationally, and abroad and would like to be able to have these booked and then my calendar blocked off for those days.  Trips are anywhere from 2 days to 21 days+.  Thanks!

Clients can book one time appointments for your services.  Typically You can block time on the schedule and customize availability for future dates. However the maximum time a service can last in 23 hours. 

 

You could add service black out times to availability though when someone books in initial time. You'll want to approve all your appointments when they are requested so you can change time and duration and make sure your availability coincides, but this may be the best way to do set up your schedule so you have full control over the bookings.

I have the same issue as a small resort owner. This app would work for so much more if it allowed appointments in an actual calendar format instead of day to day (max 23 hrs 55 min) services. 


I hope this is changed in the future because the app works great for our smaller resort services (massages, by-the-hour pontoon/boat rentals, fishing guides, etc). 


For our cabin rentals or boat rentals of more than one day, when someone makes an appointment for a service I call a "3 night cabin stay", I could manually block off available time--one. day. at. a. time--to show actual availability. But on the customer's end, this app is useless for booking online since they can't book the days they'd like to. And it sure looks weird for someone to try to reserve a cabin for "5 minutes" instead of being able to choose actual start and end dates.

We don't have a great solution for this at this time as it's a bit outside what the original Appointments platform was developed for.  That said, this is a great feature request and something that is often requested. So I'll definitely send this feedback to the Appointments Product Team.

 

It's not a perfect solution but Appointments for Teams (which is a subscription based service), may be an answer. You can see up each Cabin as a provider, and manage the cabins as if they are employees.

You can also see the different schedules for each one.

I want to set up appointments for weekly rental. How do I get calendar to change from hours to weeks when booking? Is that possible?

I talked with a specialist from our Appointment Team to see if this is possible, but setting up multi-day bookings is a feature they haven't developed yet but are continuously tracking. 

 

For now, take a look at @kellyj's best answer in this thread for the best workaround.

I need this, too.  For clients to book multi-day sponsorships of a website (banner ad).  Unfortunately I have to go to a different platform.  Could be very lucrative for Square.
