Is there a way to set up a Discount that is only available for certain Item Categories?
Similar to a previous question regarding if it's possible NOT to apply a Discount to certain Item Categories.
I have a special Loyalty Rewards punch card - 10th drink is free. This free drink only applies to a Specific Category of drinks, but all too often we're seeing Employee Error applying this free drink to drink categoriers that are not eligible. Is this feature available yet where we can only apply specific discounts to specific Item Categories?

Short answer: kind of. 🙂
Long answer, @teahouse : If you're using just a stock discount, there isn't a way to specify what item/category it applies to. However, if you use the Automatic Discounts feature you can specify what does and does not get the discount applied to it.
Additionally, if you move from the punch cards to Square's Loyalty Program, your loyalty discounts can be targeted to specific items/categories.
