I have some customers that have a company ID badge that has a bar code that contains their company ID number. Can I scan this ID to charge something to their account if I have them in my customer database with their ID number. For POS, Retail.

I just tried adding myself as a customer and there is a spot for customer code etc, I tried My name as a barcode, and so far when I try to search a customer and scan something the screen does not change till I type a character in.  So it appears you will not be able to scan a badge to link to a customer currently with Square.
