I don't need Square Payroll anymore, but if I cancel will tax documents be sent to former employees?
I no longer need the Square Payroll/timecard option as I no longer have employees. If I cancel this part of Sqaure will my tax documents still be prepared for my former 2018 employees? They will all still need to receive tax documents for the past year. I just don't need to keep paying the fees anymore. I do plan to still use the rest of the options that Square offers.

I went to check with our Payroll Team, and, If you no longer have employees, Square will complete your final fourth quarter Federal and state tax payments/filings, including W-2s.
If you need to cancel your subscription, head over to the online Square Dashboard > Payroll > Settings > Close Payroll Account. We'll send a confirmation email advising of the final filings that we'll do for your business.
