How to separate Loss vs Theft

Hi, I have seen other members raised the same question but there were no useful answers so far.  So here it is again.  I actually a few questions related to the same subject.

Question 1 - How do I see a list of all the items that I had assigned the Stock Reason "Theft"?  It seems all "Theft" assignments are only shown as "Loss" in the history tracking.  I need to be able to separate Loss vs Theft, since I have very specific definitions for both which will affect the financial reports if I don't manually reconcile these records.

This is a long way around an existing deficiency with your invoicing real time inventory trigger.  In order to update inventory on a real time basis I had assigned "Theft" to account for items that were put on monthly invoices. Since there would be no other reasons to use "Theft" at my store, thought I could run a "Stock History" report at the end of the month and reconcile my books manually.

Question 2 - How do I find or add “Theft” in the Adjustment Type?

Currently, in the Edit Item – View Stock History – Adjustment Types - do not include “Theft”.  The Types included are “All Adjustment Types, Canceled, Damaged, Lost, Re-Counted, Received, Restocked, Sold, and Transferred.

Question 3 - Is there an option to print the history report of an item?

Hey @HAD!

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community

I reached out to our Square for Retail Product Team and it appears that the ability to view a separated report for Thefts vs. Losses is not available at this time. It's a feature request we're working on making available in the future. I'll definitely update this thread should I hear anything about development.

In the meantime, loss + theft will continue to be classified in Reports as 'Loss' together.

Sadly, there also isn't a way to export/print the history report for an item. Really sorry about this 😞.
