We have customers that would like to re-load their e-gift card that is on file so they can continue using it, sort of like a house account (but pre paid). Is there a way to reload the e-gift card that is on file within the Point of Sale, without needing their existing card number?

Hey @spnick-
As an alternative, you can export all of your existing Square Gift Card information to a spreadsheet from your online Square Dashboard. From there, you can search for said customer and then reload the egift card.
To export your Gift Card information:
- Navigate to the Reports tab of your online Square Dashboard and select Gift Cards.
- Select the Export button in the upper right hand corner and choose Gift Card Numbers CSV.
- A CSV file will automatically download onto your computer. Keep in mind that this file will contain full gift card numbers and their corresponding balances so you will want to handle this information sensitively.
If you're not seeing the Export Gift Card Numbers CSV, it may need to be granted to you by our Support Team. Please give them a call.

Hey @Maggies_lunch!
An eGift Card can be reloaded from the Square App.
To do so:
- From the Checkout section, tap Gift Cards > Check Balance.
- Enter the 16-digit eGift Card number > Continue.
- Tap Add Value > select a preset amount or enter a custom amount > Load.
- Tap Charge > complete transaction.
At this time, you would need the 16-digit card number to add a value onto the card. Sorry about that. Thank you for surfacing this limitation though. I'll make sure to pass this insight along to appropriate team.

Has Square fixed this yet? Clients should be able to add to their gift cards without me having to go back and forth via email for their card numbers. This is silly and makes me look unprofessional.
