Hi @VibinTiger, thanks for reaching out! I'll be happy to help - just to clarify, are you looking to setup discount for your website or just for sales made through the Square Point of Sale app?

Hello, thanks for your reply!
I am trying to offer my customers the option when they purchase 2 cards (3.50 each) there will be a discount and it will come to $5
Or if they put 4 cards in the basket it will add a discount and the total will be $10
I am just unsure how to offer that on the website as Card Promo as the discounts page doesnt seem to be very clear on how to achieve this?
Thanks

@VibinTiger I'm sorry for this late reply and thank you @oliviabrigado for chiming in here!
At this time it's not possible to set create buy-one-get-one discounts for an item on your Square Online site. (It is possible to create that kind of discount for payments made through the Square Point of Sale app or Square Terminal.)
For now as a workaround you could create a voucher that your customers can use on your site - the voucher would apply a percentage or whole amount discount at checkout on your site. Or, you could create a new item for '2 gift cards' and set the lower price for that item - but you would have to consider the implications that would have on inventory/tracking.
If buy-one-get-one discounts are added to the Square Online site in future we will certainly announce it!

Hey @HANAXPAUXOLE, just stepping in for Helen here.
Although you can create manual discounts online or from the Square app, to create automatic discounts, you will need to head to the online Square Dashboard. From there, you can create three different types of discounts:
- Exact Quantity: When you add an exact item quantity to your basket, the discount will automatically trigger and apply to the item cost.
- Minimum Purchase Quantity: When you add a minimum quantity of an item to your basket, a discount will apply to a purchase.
- Buy One, Get One: When a customer buys a specified quantity of an item or category, a discount will apply towards additions of the same item or towards different item(s) added to the basket. For example, you can create a BOGO discount so that when a customer purchases 2 hats, they’ll receive 50% off the cost of a scarf.
To create an automatic discount:
- Visit Items > Discounts in your online Square Dashboard.
- Click Create a Discount.
- Toggle on Auto Apply to Items and Categories.
- Click Quantity. Next set your Discount Rule. You’ll have three options for setting up your quantity discount:
- Exact Quantity
- Minimum Purchase Quantity
- Buy One, Get One
- Once selected, add the required quantity for the discount to apply, click Save.
To learn more, check out these articles on Creating and managing discounts using Square and Applying discounts to your sale.
I hope this will help. Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you!

From a restaurants point of view the 2 for £10 sort of discount is absolutely vital! it would be great to see this added sooner rather than later as other bars and food outlets around us currently do this sort of deal that we are unable to deliver at our premises 😕
