How long does it take for a manual credit card payment to reflect in your balance?

I took a manual credit card payment and it's not showing in my balance how long does it normally take to reflect in your balance?

Good question. All Square payments, including manual card-entry payments, should reflect on your balance immediately after payment. The only reason why the payment would not reflect on your balance would be if the transaction was unsuccessful.

I am having the same issue. Not in transfers anywhere. Customer has been charged. Nothing on it in the support or anything

I’m experiencing the same issue. A customer paid a $5000 deposit on an Invoice Yesterday for an Interior Decorating project & I don’t see any sign of the payment, but we both received an email confirmation of the payment when it was made. The Invoice Balance reflects a payment was received and Of Course I can see where Square IMMEDIATELY took there % out for the transaction for my loan repayment. But still, no sign of the payment itself anywhere and I have a deadline to meet to place an order on behalf of the client with the funds provided. 
If its under Review, then Square needs to notify merchants of this. I don’t like this at all.

Yes your payment funds should be reflected in your Square Balance even when you haven’t activated your Square Card. Let us know if you have other questions.

It's been 48 hours since manual credit card was charged and I still don't have any money. There shouldn't be any issues with my side or customers. When will funds arrive?

We see its your first time positing in the Seller Community, welcome!

 

Your credit card transactions regardless of the modality in which it was taken, should appear in your balance right away. The timing for transfers depends on how you have your transfer speed set up.

 

If you are still not able to see your transaction by now, check to see if Account Services has reached out to you via email or within your dashboard by clicking the bell icon top right.

Wow. I was just about to go "All-In” with Square (literally Dec 1st) and transfer everything from my BOA account because of how flawless things have been these past few years and then boom. For the first time, a $1,300 charge must have been held because its not showing in my balance.  I have no notification of a hold. No alert. No email. Nothing. And, since I noticed it too late in the day, I can’t get answers. This changes everything for me. Now I have to take up my morning calling or texting to get answers. And you can be sure the Dec 1 date is going to be pushed back. As someone else in this thread said… this is unacceptable. Especially with how much money I’ve put through Square. All it would have taken was a notification to prevent this.

Update:  The charge was credited at midnight.  But still, something doesn't feel right.  I'm still going to chat with Square to find out what the delay was about before I continue going all-in.  I still have other questions about officer disbursements, etc, which is for another thread.

I TOTALLY AGREE. I’m still waiting on a $5000 payment to show up and the customer is expecting me to have ordered material for their design job by now, that unfortunately I’m unable too because I don’t know where their payment is. The confusing part is that the receipt & confirmation was issued immediately, confirming payment. But Where Is It & Why Hasn’t Square Sent ANY Type of Notice Regarding This!

I was paid by credit card from a valued customer over the phone and it’s not showing up in the balance but it’s in the transactions. What is the problem?
