How do I see which variation is sold out on the new Beta Checkout system
We just updated to the new beta checkout system. Most or our items are one-of-a-kind. I like that we can now see on our POS checkout screen which items are sold out on our POS. We mainly sell one of a kind items. Occasionally on a busy day something sells on-line and before we get a chance to pull the item a customer wants to buy it in the store.
If an item has variations it only tells us one or more variations is sold out. Is there a way to see which variation is sold out on the POS when we are checking someone out? I don't want to leave the checkout screen, go to items and look to see which one is sold out.

Hello @genuinesw !
Yes, the sold out feature is amazing, isn't it?
For variations, all you have to do is tap on the item. If a variation of that item is sold out, it should say so right under the variation name.
Do note that for in-person ordering, you and your employees will still be able to order sold out items--good for when inventory is incorrect or if you need to ring something on the fly. Online orders will not be able to though.

@ryanwanner Thanks for your response. We are delighted with the sold out feature.
Our iPad only shows that some variations are sold out. For example when I look at a list of time items in a category the iPad shows 1 variation is sold out on hand painted decanters. When I click on decanters it does not show which variation is sold out.
Knowing which variation is sold out is important. We had one busy morning when we sold the last item of a variation online and hadn't seen the order yet and sold the same item in the store.
Thanks,

@genuinesw Okay that’s odd… my system shows the Sold Out tag in two places when a variation is out: on the variation itself and above the quantity.
if your screen isn’t doing something similar, I’d recommend logging out of square on the tablet, force closing the program, reopening it, and logging back in. If that doesn’t work, it may be time to get the amazing @kellyj involved.

@ryanwanner Thx. I logged out of our account and forced closed square but I still can't see which variations are sold out. I hope the amazing @kellyj can help!

3 weeks ago our iPad POS Checkout was showing out of stock items. Now it isn't. We sell one of a kind items in our store and online. If we sell an item online and haven't seen the order during a busy day, it is nice to see it sold out if a customer tries to buy the same item in the store.
