How do I go to Site Settings to grant access to my microphone in order to swipe the credit card?
I have a Mac Book Pro. Square asked me to grant access to my microphone but i did not understand why so I declined. Then I could not swipe the customer's card and had to enter the numbers manually at a higher percentage. Then thee second time Square said that it only asks permission once and I have to go to Site Settings to turn on Microphone access but I have no idea where Site Settings are.

It depends on what browser you're using. Since Safari is the default on Macs, here's what you need to do:
- Go to your Square Dashboard online.
- Click Safari in the top left corner (next to the Apple icon)
- Select "Settings for squareup.com"
- A popup will appear in the center of the screen.
- Look for "Microphone", click on "Deny" and then choose "Allow."
If you're not using Safari then the steps may be different, and I'm happy to help you figure out where you can change it if you let me know which browser you're using.

I believe I turned microphone on. I went to Chrome (upper left), Import and Settings, I canceled import, I went to Security and Privacy, then scrolled down to Site Settings, clicked on Square and turned on Microphone, then Quit Google to reboot.

Hopefully that worked! If not then it's possible that Chrome needs permission to access the microphone. It sounds like that's enabled, but if not then here's what you can do:
- Open System Preferences on your MacBook
- Choose "Security and Privacy"
- Select "Privacy"
- Select "Microphone"
- Select "Chrome" if it's not already checked
