We have over 2k items each with an image. Is there a faster way to upload images for each items without having to edit each item and uploading an image?

Hi @stjgiftshop, welcome to the Community. Currently, there isn't a way to bulk upload item images unfortunately. For now your images do have to be uploaded individually, either from the Dashboard, or mobile device.
Definitely understand how much work that would save! It's not currently something in development, but I'll track the suggestion with our product and update here should that change in the future.

You have people offering to help Find a solution for this simple function. This is not difficult! Images syncing can be handled in many ways... I have PHP code snippets that do this for image and document management. When you have a closed application and you are not responsive to your user base ... your user base will start shrinking and any goodwill you have in the market will disappear. Some one take some leadership!

Thanks for sharing your feedback, I can certainly appreciate your frustration here @Cheyennemtnman.
While I don't currently have a timeline to share, nor am I able to comment on internal development priorities, adding the ability to bulk upload item images is a popular feature request and with good reason. Having to individually upload item images isn't a great experience, especially for sellers with larger inventories.
We'll continue to pass on the feedback we receive here to our Product Team. I don't have further news to share at this time but if this changes in the future we'll be sure to update this thread.

Perhaps you can shed some light on the process behind deciding which feature requests will actually be implemented, because it seems like the boring, backend, useful features that business owners actually need are being ignored in favor of things like redesigning the POS checkout screen, and adding the ability to rearrange the Quick Access menu in the Square dashboard.
I understand that things take time to develop, but when an update comes out and announces a new feature I expect to search the seller community and find that many people have been asking for it. This thread asking for bulk photo uploads is 5 years old and still active, but no matter what combination of words I use I can't find any posts asking for the POS layout to be updated or for the ability to rearrange the quick access menu.

I understand your feelings @HermitThrush. That is why our Community Managers launched our Ideate Boards in which our Sellers can officially submit Feature Requests and our Product Teams can track the interests of Sellers and share product insights.
I invite you to take the time and submit any requests you don't see already there and "Like" and comment on the ones you believe would help your business the most.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback here.

It seems as though this is not currently a feature request, but truthfully I can’t see the point in taking the time to make one because the first page of this thread shows that it’s been done at least twice since 2017. Meanwhile, I came in to work this morning to find the exact thing I was just complaining about. My POS layout has been updated for the second time this summer without any added features or functionally. Just the same things in different places. Again.
So, like I said before, we’d all appreciate some insight into how these decisions are made. Why is energy is being sunk into aesthetic changes that we don’t care about instead of implementing basic features that help us run our businesses?

I honestly love using Square for our POS and Online site, but please please please add the feature that's been requested since 2017.... we need bulk image upload!

I finally got my items to upload after doing some work in excel to format and I didn't notice that I wasn't populating anything for the images until after it was done and there were no images. This is definitely frustrating, especially when I realized that I have to upload them 1 by 1 for 4k items. I honestly don't understand why nothing has happened in the five years since this was initially brought to your attention.

It sounds like you are hosting the images somewhere else and referencing them in the import correct?

Yes, that is correct but even if I had all of the image files on a hard drive, there’s still no way to link them to the products in a mass upload.
