How can I quickly change the dining option at the beginning of each order?

Hello There.

 

I'm working on a system for my pizzeria, but I'm struggling with changing the dining options.  Is the quickest way to do this to tap Actions > Dining options?  The support article says "To change the dining option for the entire sale, tap your finger over the default dining option."  I'm unable to do this.  When I try to tap the Dining Option at the top of the new sale, nothing happens.  Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks for your post. These instructions should help you with changing the dining options mid-sale:

 

  1. For every new sale, your default dining option is automatically applied to the entire cart. To change the dining option for the entire cart, tap your finger over the current sale, and tap the default dining option. You'll be able to change it from there, rather than pressing actions. 

 

  1. A quick way to change the dining option for a item in the cart would be to tap the item > choose a dining option > tap Save. Give this a try if you still can't change the dining option by clicking on the default dining option in the current sale.

Is there a way to select the dining option up-front rather than after the fact? Can i also set it to prompt for Name/Number?

Prompting for the name is a setting you can find by managing your Restaurants Device Settings.

 

Here is how it should be configured:

 

 

At this time, Dining Options are set to after the order only. However, I can see how having it before may benefit in some scenarios. I recommend you submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request. 

 

Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
