I'm migrating a single Square Register from an ancient iPad2 to a newer iPad4. I see how to export and then import my Item List however how do I migrate the screen layouts and item photos?

Hi @Bru, when I wanted to use a second iPad with Square, all I had to do was install the Square Register app on the new iPad and log in using my existing Square merchant account (the same one that I used on the first iPad).
Give that a try. Install the app, log in, and then wait a little bit and Square will automatically sync your items and configuration with your Square account (this could take a while if you have a lot of items and images).
This all works because your items and other account information are on stored with Square (in the cloud). Happily, the only copy is not just on your iPad. This is especially important if your iPad becomes unusable for any reason. You can many devices to your Square account and they'll all stay synced automatically...no need to manually migrate from one device to another.

Yes! Of course. I had foolishly assumed that only the item data, not the screen configs and photos, were stored in Square's cloud. You're absolutely right, everything gets synced when you sign in on a new Register. Many thanks.

I have a Weebly store on my website. I now signed up for Square and downloaded the app on my ipad to operate my brck and mortar store but the items did not sync when I logged in. Obviously I cannot download and upload CSV to an app on the ipad. So what can i do to sync up the items from the website store to my ipad?
