Home Address appearing in emails.

Simple question really, however, I'm not a fan of showing an address at the bottom of my marketing emails.

I understand if a returns/refund order is needed however is it possible to have the option to get rid of it completely if I want? I'm currently using Shopify and they have it so you do not have to have the address in the emails, it's custom to how you want it to be.

I have seen another post on here which says go to communications, email set up and all that but it doesn't show any of it for me.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hello @viixciv

A good question!

I notice that our physical address is not shown at the bottom of the emails we send. The reason for this is that our business Location Type is set to Mobile Location. If instead, you select Physical Location then your physical address is displayed on the emails.

I suspect the reason addresses have to be shown is due to privacy/trading regulations. These regulations may differ from country to country. We are based in the UK.

I remember when we were using MailChimp we had to show our physical address at the bottom of our emails sent using that platform so I don't think this will be exclusive to Square.

If you wish to keep your current location set to Physical Location then you could try creating a new location and set that one to Mobile Location, and then send your marketing emails from that location. I haven't tried this myself so it would require some exploring.

Thank you.

Hey @viixciv , thanks so much for flagging this to us, that's a good question!

Yes, the best way to remove the address from your marketing campaign emails would be to switch your business type to a Mobile Location, as @nella mentioned in the above post (thank you for providing a great solution!).

Let me know if there is anything else you need! I'm here to help. 😊
