I am wondering how I link my Square debit card to QuickBooks online? I use my square debit card for all of my business expenses. Is this possible? and if so how?

Hi @Jenstone1174 To clarify, are you asking if you can link your Square Checking/debit account to the automatic transaction download and account reconciliation area of QB online? Or something else?

@TheRealChipAI am trying to link my square checking/debit to quickbooks online, is this possible? I don't want to have to do the download from square checking then upload to QB - if I wanted to do that I would have stayed on desktop instead of paying for monthly online service :(.

Hi @BombC. As far as I know, there is currently no mechanism to link to Square Banking accounts (checking, savings or loan) for automate account reconciliation/transaction download. I’m pretty sure that feature requests have been submitted requesting this, but have seen no announcements or beta tests. You can go to the Banking Feature Request board and see if there are any feature requests there on this subject.
If you find one, I would recommend liking it (to upvote it) and adding your own comments if needed and if the comments would be helpful.
I will mention that I don’t use Quickbooks for personal reasons. But even the software that I use (which uses Plaid for account linking) currently only sees Square account numbers, routing numbers and current balances — no transactions. So, my guess here is that Square needs to build some transactional infrastructure to support account software linking.
Regards,

Thanks for such a quick reply I was on with QB support and getting no where 😞 I was hoping this wasn’t the case.

Trust me, I understand. The subject has been a much discussed one here in the Community. I forgot to mention that if you don’t find exactly what you are looking for in the Banking feature requests, go ahead and submit one. If you do that, post the link to it here and I’ll certainly upvote it. Now that Square Bill Pay has most of the bells-and-whistles of bank bill pay features, I see this as the only roadblock for many sellers to switch to Square Banking for their primary banking needs. But, since I will never do that myself, it isn’t my place to make a feature request, really.
