Yes, it's easy to change the name of your business in your online Dashboard. This article has the step-by-step.
- Go to Account & Settings in your online Dashboard.
- Click Business Information on the left side of the page.
- Update your information and click Save.

I did this and it is still showing up as the old name when I link the store or when I view the store. I can't seem to find any trouble shooting on this either. Any suggestions if it won't change it? I have saved it multiple times but it won't change on the actual site people view.

@sandrabirch - Sorry to hear! I see what happened here. The "Store Name" field needed to be updated inside the Online Store Editor tool (top left). I went ahead and updated this for you. Everything should be good to go now.

Sorry for the frustration @ericaduncan. I recommend switching to another browser like Chrome before trying to update your URL. If that doesn't do the trick, please run through these Dashboard troubleshooting steps. But if you're still having trouble please let me know!

I have yet to look at it more closely, but I once changed the name of my store and it caused my individual item url's to become dead URL's that woud lead to an error message: store does not exist.
Those URL's were previously submitted to search engines automaticaly upon the creation of the item, and appeared in a box on the item creatin screen. That was a great feature. I'm not sure when they stopped using this feature, since that url box has dissapeared. I thought that those auto URL submissions to search engines was a great feture!

@BusyBee Though we don't have item URL box anymore, you can still get your individual item URL. To do so:
# Visit your Site Editor in your online Square Dashboard.
# Click View Store and click a specific item.
# Copy the URL from the browser navigation bar and provide it to your customers.
