Square Register is a purpose-built point of sale solution with POS & payments integrated, that’s ready right out of the box. Square Register is built entirely by Square so you can sell confidently knowing everything just works.
Square Register features a detachable, versatile customer facing display to let your customers track items, complete sales, and update contact information on their own. The dedicated customer display lets your customers pay intuitively and securely - there is no need for a separate card machine and both you and your customers can enjoy a smooth checkout experience.
Square Register can be used with the free Square Point of Sale, Square for Retail or Square for Restaurant Free software. We'll also be rolling our support for Square for Restaurants Plus at a later date.
Finally, you can also connect printers, cash drawers and barcode scanners to your Square Register, using USB or Ethernet depending on the accessory. Check out a full list of our supported hardware on our Support Centre.
Square Register is available for purchase from our online shop individually for $1,099 including GST (or 12 interest-free instalments of $92/month for qualifying sellers) or as a kit with accessories included for $2,099 on Square Shop. Please note: Delivery is expected in 2-7 days, or 1-3 days with expedited shipping.
Like Square Terminal, Square Register features a card present processing rate of 1.6% and a manually keyed card payment rate of 2.2%. Custom pricing is available to merchants processing over $250k of card payments annually.
