We’re happy to announce that you can now connect the mPOP receipt printer and cash drawer with Square Terminal (Hub for Square Terminal required, sold separately) and Android devices via USB.
The mPOP Printer and Cash Drawer automatically opens the cash drawer or prints receipts every time you complete a sale.
Connect the mPOP Printer and Cash Drawer to Square Terminal (Hub for Square Terminal required):
- Plug the mPOP printer into a power source.
- Ensure that your Square Terminal is connected to the accessory hub, power adapter, and power adapter cable.
- Connect the USB cord to the hub.*
- Once connected the Square Terminal will confirm with an on-screen notification as well as with an audio indication.

*Star mPOP Printer and Cash Drawer can only be connected via USB. Bluetooth connection is not available on Square Terminal.
Connect the mPOP Printer and Cash Drawer to an Android device:
- Plug the mPOP printer into a power source.
- Plug your printer into your Android device using a USB OTG (On-The-Go) adaptor.*
- From the Square Point of Sale app, tap Settings > Hardware > Printers > Create Printer Station.
- Enter a printer station name.
- Tap Printer and select your USB printer. To test your printer connection, tap Test Print.
- Toggle on Receipts, Order Tickets, and/or Order Ticket Stubs.
- Tap Save.
*Star mPOP Printer and Cash Drawer can only be connected via USB. Bluetooth connection is not available on Android devices.
To disconnect this printer from your device unplug the USB cord from your device.

Note: This printer can also be connected to iPads via Bluetooth or via Square Stand’s USB hub. This printer doesn't support network connectivity.
