Hello, Square Marketing merchants (and those interested in Square Marketing)! Happy New Year! We have some exciting news to share with you—we just rolled out a new feature that allows you to post to Facebook directly through Square Marketing, without sending an email first (though you can still do that, too).
Now, you might be asking yourself, “Why would I want to post to Facebook via Square Marketing?” Excellent question. First off, it’s convenient - if you’re already in Square Marketing, why not create a post? You can also easily schedule your Facebook posts in advance if you want to plan ahead. Furthermore, here are some things you can do when posting to Facebook via Square that you can’t do otherwise:
- Include a coupon in your Facebook post, which is easily redeemable on your Square point of sale and trackable in your Marketing campaign reports
- Automatically target customers on Facebook who have made a purchase from your business in the last 30 days, even if they don't follow your business page
- See the total attributable sales and purchases from customers who recently viewed your Facebook post and then purchased from your business
- Promote your Square eGift Cards easily with a eGift Card themed post (pro-tip: Set up eGift Cards first so this campaign type will show up! Learn more about them here.)
- Announce new products or services directly from your integrated Square catalogue
Here's what it looks like:
We also allow you to simply and easily boost your post - this is an important feature that we encourage you to try out (it may take more than a few dollars to see a noticeable difference though). When you post to Facebook (whether directly through Facebook or through Square Marketing), only some of your followers will see your post. However, by boosting your post, Facebook will ensure that your post is shown to more of your followers (don’t worry, all of the money goes to your Facebook ad, we don’t take a cut).
Now, when you want to send an email or create a Facebook post for an event, sale, or announcement, and want to tailor it to fit the right channel and audience, you can do it all from your Square Marketing page.
Our goal is to help you easily manage all of your marketing needs in one place and provide you with a clear picture of the impact of your work. Today, we’re enhancing your ability to promote your business through Facebook, and we hope to add more channels, such as Instagram, and yes, even SMS, this year.
So post away, and continue to keep your business top of mind with your customers. As always, we’d love to hear your feedback about the update (or anything else Square Marketing related!)
Best,
Edward
