Improved mobile ordering experience now available for self-serve ordering with Square Online

We’re excited to announce improvements to the self-serve ordering experience, which makes it easier for buyers to order and pay at the table. Since self-serve orders are all placed on mobile devices, we focused on improving the purchasing flow for iPhone and Android devices to mirror the experience a buyer would have in a native app.

Updates include: 

  • Ordering and checkout actions are now always within "thumb reach,” making it easier for buyers to browse items, add items to their order, and review their order
  • The Item detail view has been expanded to a full screen view to bring more information and selections into the frame
  • Navigation between pages is now smooth and more polished to feel like one continuous experience

What do I need to do?

Nothing! If you’re using self-serve ordering at your location, these updates all automatically apply to your ordering page.
