We recently launched a number of new features designed to make Square Marketing easier to use, providing you with more flexibility and insight into your marketing campaigns. Here’s a breakdown of what’s new, and how to use it.
1. Know the number of unique link clicks
2. Add and remove coupons and featured items
3. More accurate campaign send status
Tell us what you think in the comments, and let us know how else we can make Square Marketing more powerful for your business.
Not yet signed up for Square Marketing but interested to see it in action? You can try it out for 30 days for free, just click here to get started. It’s an easy way to build relationships with your customers and grow your business.
1. Know the number of unique link clicks
We’ve added link clickthrough tracking to your Square Marketing Reports, so you can see how many recipients clicked on a link that you've embedded in an email.
This will allow you to better understand how customers are interacting with your emails, and know what prompts a customer to click on a link in your campaign. Do they like reviews on your business? Do they want to check out your website? How about a video featuring your business?
To add links to your emails, simply select a text box or button in your email (or add one if it’s not there already). For text links, select the link icon to add the URL of the website you’d like to link to, and input the text that will be linked. For buttons, just fill out the button label and link fields. And once a link has been added, the number of unique clicks on each link will automatically show up in your campaign reports.
2. Add and remove coupons and featured items
We’ve updated our templates to allow you to add / remove coupons to or from any campaign. In particular, this adds more flexibility to our automated campaigns, so you can now send welcome campaigns, for example, without a coupon.
We also added the ability to include an item from your Item Catalogue that you’d like to promote across any type of campaign. Have a new dish or product you’d like to drive sales for? Let your customers know about it through an email and social media post!
3. More Accurate Campaign Status
Ever find that after sending out an email the Campaign Status would read Active but the dashboard would read 0 sent? We updated the dashboard and campaign reports to show a more accurate representation of what the actual status is of the campaign you sent.
With this change, you’ll be able to tell whether your campaign is getting ready to be sent (in queue), currently being sent, or if it’s been sent already.
