printing a QR code for my customers phones to read
Sorry guys, I am probably asking a redundant question, but square websites is very hard to navigate and find things, let alone help for what I want. I am two weeks new here.
I do booths at shows. I am supposed have a QR code that customers can scan. I assume this goes to my site? Or does this go straight to the shopping cart? I want to be able to print it out via a laser cutter. Also, how to I find the page that generates what I want.
Again, sorry about the dumb question, but this square site is very difficult to find what I need and when.

Hello @nelsonmay
This is a great question. Square offers various options when it comes to generating QR Codes. For that reason, we have put together a guide on how to Create and Use QR Codes.
I hope this information is helpful!

I am trying to get this under my belt. I understand that I can generate a QR code for a specific item, but Can I generate a "general" QR code to display on my table that takes them to the store? Is that redundant if I am going to generate one for each item a customer buys and then let their phone scan my phone? I read the example for the QR code that takes people to a menu. Is that what I am trying to do here, get them to my store or my site from a placard on my table?

The QR code for menus is pretty much what you'd be looking for, @nelsonmay, as it will direct your customers to your website to place an order. You can, of course, still create QR codes for each item - but feel free to let us know what your business structure looks like - e.g. are you selling food, or items?

You can have a QR code point to either a Checkout Link or an Item or a Menu thing if you have that type of business. Since I have a retail store and Online, I created a QR code that can take customers to my Online store, or signup for email notifications.
You would need to know where or what you want your customers to see or order when they scan the QR code.
If you have a website you could have the QR code take them to the main (Home) page of your website, or if you were only selling 1 of your categories at this event you could take the QR code to that Category. So like I sell soaps and candles mainly, If I went to a vendor thing I could have a QR code next to my candles that says we also sell soaps scan the QR code for more about our soaps. Where would you like the QR code to go?
You can create a Free QR code at alot of different sites online that you can then 'Print' with a laser. Just becareful enlarging a QR code because some times this get the scale of the code off making it unreadable. If you use lightburn keep the scale the same as you enlarge it and do a test burn on scrap before doing your good piece.
