Paying taxes monthly

Apparently my sales were set up to collect taxes for any purchases made in Louisiana - my domicile state - am I supposed to be submitting these collected taxes to the IRS?

@CajunDuckSupply If you're referring to sales taxes, no, those don't go to the IRS, they go to the state's sales tax authority (often the comptroller). You should have a sales tax license and be submitting that to the comptroller usually on a quarterly basis.

I don't know the specifics of your situation, but that's generally what needs to happen.

OK - that makes more sense since it is all "LA Taxes" being withheld and sent to me... I truly do feel ignorant.  THank you!

Don't feel too bad, I went through the same things starting my business.
