Why won’t my chip reader hold a charge?
My chip reader works fine when plugged in, but won’t hold a charge. I received a new reader and dock yesterday to replace them and the same thing is happening. Should I be charging it with a different USB cord instead of the one you sent with it? Seems strange that 2 readers are doing the same thing. When I have it all plugged in the iPad charges fine

@Barb58 Hmm, it is certainly strange that your new reader still isn't holding the charge. I'm sorry for the frustration!
The dock and cord you received should charge the reader. Can you try charging the reader in the dock from a different AC outlet?
Also when you say the iPad charges fine, are you using a Square Stand? Can you try charging the reader in the dock (or without the dock) from an AC outlet and not connecting it to the Stand?
I'll keep an eye out for your reply!
