Hi Chris1107,
If your iPhone has a Lightning connector (most likely), then you would need the Lightning connector reader. Another option would be switching to the contactless and chip reader. Doing so would allow you to accept chip cards, contactless (NFC) cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
