does the card reader work for chip cards?? or do i need a new reader?
i have the card reader that attaches to my phone..probably a year old... now with everyone having chip cards.. is that reader good for that???? i heard that it will accept as a swipe.. but if the buyer files a chargeback.. i automatically lose because it wasnt chip read.. help..scooter

You pretty much got it. The magstripe reader continues to work but, as you noted, you will be "the weakest link" in the chain of accepting the credit card. So basically to be safest buy the bluetooth chip card reader and keep the mag stripe reader for the ocasional card without a chip. I don't recomend the chip reader that plugs into your headphone jack, and do like the bluetooth model.
