Why is now Square asking for opt in for text confirmation appointments?

Why is now Square asking for opt in for text confirmation appointments? It's not marketing campaign or a promotional text message.   All of our customers out of the blue, when an appointment is made, are receiving a message that asks them to STOP or MORE for Square text messages instead of a text with the appointment confirmation.  That get very confused, since they just want to know if the appointment is confirmed or not. They don't even know Square, so some just answer with STOP.   Then they asks the salon for the appointment confirmation. I have contacted Square directly, but the answer was: "Nicci here with Square Customer Success.  Thanks for reaching out on this.

I’m passing your case directly to an Appointments expert who can better help answer your questions. You should see an email from them shortly, so keep an eye out."

Please help!

Hey @elviayfabio!

Please take a look at this Community post and see if it answers your question. You can edit your preferences so they just receive email reminders, and not text.

If this doesn't answer your question, let me know so we can look into this further!
