Why don't my sales reports match my daily sales email?

[The title of this thread has been edited from the original: The reports I'm receiving aren’t the same as the reports I’m receiving on my email]

 

When I print out the daily sales report, I’m not receiving the same report as I’m getting on my email. The fee amount and the net total are inaccurate. But when I print it out on another day, the numbers are changed. Is anyone able to help me understand why the sales report is incorrect?

Hey @HenryL0614!

 

Your daily sales summary email is automatically generated based upon your business hours. The daily sales report you can get in the Online Dashboard reflects the day in a 24-hour period. If you ever take payments outside of your set business hours, the daily sales summary email is not going to align with the sales report in dashboard.

 

Here's how to edit your business hours to make them match your sales summary:

  1. Head over to Account & Settings > Business > Locations in your online Square Dashboard.
  2. Select a location > edit your business hours.
  3. Click Save.

Hi Isabelle! Thanks for the tip! I am having the same issue and searched the community and saw this response. My question would be if I change my business hours is that not reflected on my online store as well? If that is the case I don't want to change my business hours just to make my reports match. Which leads me to this question, is it necessary to try and balance your days transactions between the two reports? This is driving me insane and I spend way too much time trying to figure out where the difference is.

BUMP.  I set my reporting hours to be 3am-3am on the Dashboard, so my daily reports work fine. However, this never propagated to the emails.  It would be nice if they did.
