Square register wifi encryption?
Not sure if this is the correct board for this question...I use the Square Register in my store, hard connection to router. I'm planning a remote trade show and want to temporarily use the register, connecting to a wifi hotspot I'll be purchasing. Is the connection from the Square register wifi already encrypted, or should I make sure the wifi hotspot has encryption. I'm concerned about the security of transmitting credit card transactions in this environment.

Hey @HC_Charlie!
Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.
Square provides end-to-end encryption and PCI DSS compliant payment processing, whether you're using a public or private Wi-Fi connection or a data service on your phone (such as 3G, 4G or EDGE). You can find Square listed as a secure service provider, so you should be all set for your event with your Square Register.
Let me know if you have any questions about this.
