New phone won't sync.
My new phone gives me an error when syncing to my square reader.
It tells me I can't sync because my phone is rooted. And to remove to root to connect device It's not. It's brand new Pixel 4a
image 2 shows low battery... But it was connected to the wall USB. For a few minutes first .

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble connecting the reader.
Could you please try:
1) Forget the reader from anywhere it appears in your Bluetooth settings and also the Square app (via Settings > Card Readers)
2) Hold down the button until the lights completely STOP flashing red. This performs a hard reset on the reader.
3) close the Square POS app and turn your phone off and on.
4) Once you've completed the above steps, try connecting the reader again
Let me know how you go. It looks like the Pixel 4a hasn't actually been tested for compatibility with Square (which may be the issue), however we do support the Pixel 4 and 4XL.
