Magstripe Reader on Square Stand not working
Our magstripe reader on our stand recently stopped working. Previously, it worked just fine while connected to either wifi or on cellular data. We are on a supported device that both connects to wifi and has a data plan so it can operate without wifi. I have plugged/unplugged, deleted app and redownloaded, etc. The stand is charged. When going to check out a customer using a credit card, all the card options are highlighted as if the magstripe reader will swipe, but nothing happens when the card is swiped. We have to manually enter the card but that isn't efficient for us. Has anyone else had this happen and resolved it successfully?

Strange. A couple things -
- Check to see if your iPad is up to date. Oftentimes, connected accessories and the overall functionality of the Stand will act wonky if the iOS is not up to date.
- Try cleaning the reader track - slide a card reader cleaning card or a folded paper towel through the card reader slot to clear any spills or debris.
If you already exhausted these tips, reach out to CS for help ordering a replacement.
