I think I read that if I had the Square Register there is a Loyalty Check-In / Sign-In screen for my customers to enter in their phone number manually without my employees asking if they are a Loyalty member and keying in the customers phone number.
Is there a screen like that for the Square Stand and if not when will it be available?
Also, If any of you who read this have the Square Register, is it worth it? It sure looks nice. I alread have 2 Square Stands so I would need to purchase 2 Square Registers.

If you have the Loyalty program set up, then it would be able to be used on the Register. It's an option to turn on under Settings > Customer Engagement. It will allow a pop-up screen for the customer's to enter their loyalty information.

We use the Register and like the customer screen, but don't like what we've found out about the way the customers are prompted to sign in. The customer is prompted only AFTER they've paid, so they don't find out they had a reward available until it's too late. For them to redeem the staff still has to search the customer. Hopefully someone will figure out a work-around for that.

I signed up for Loyalty this morning, and still can't figure out how to get it to add customers on my Register. It gives the customer a message that it is "Checking loyalty status" but then nothing happened. They were not prompted to add a phone number or anything.
The only method I am finding to add customers, it to go to my Dashboard on my laptop and individially add all 4300 customers ONE AT A TIME.
There has GOT TO BE a better way????

Hi Kassi,
I have Retail for Square with the Register and knew since last year that "Customer Engagement" in my settings was an option when this update arrived. I did speak to someone at that time (because I was trying to figure out why I couldn't utilize the loyalty pop-up) and they didn't even realize that was an issue for your customers who have Retail for Square. It has now been a year+ and still I am unable to use the loyalty pop-up check in before I start my transaction with my customer.
It would be wonderful if someone could pass along the information because I have been waiting for another update so Retail for Square customers have access to the Customer Engagement.

this is not an option if you are using square for retail on the square register

We have the square register as well and don't have the ability for our customers to login ahead of or during the sale from the customer facing screen. Has this become an option for others? I don't even see a "customer engagement" tab under settings at all?

Are you asking if it is possible to have the login screen for Loyalty appear at a different point during the checkout flow, @Abigails_stl? Please let me know if I'm not understanding your question here!

So I did contact support about this a while ago. We determined that because I use Retail, it doesn't seem to translate? So I have been trying to let Square know for months now and it still has never updated to where I can actually have a check-in screen BEFORE the transaction starts on my Register. So I have no "customer engagement" section in my settings. And it has been that way since the option has been available (to everyone except those who use/pay for Retail).

yes, we also have square for retail and the only time the customer is given the option to enter their info to log into loyalty is after the transaction has processed (i.e. after the cc goes through and after the receipt screen) I would love if they could do it at the start of the transaction. it would save us the time of looking up the customer on our end and then clicking through to their profile to see if they have any available rewards.

I must be using an older version of the register (?) because I have the option to turn on the loyalty signin screen, but its under settings > Loyalty >Customer check-in on display. I also have a button on my customer facing screen that allows customers to sign in before I start a sale. If they wait until after I start scanning barcodes, they are either automatically given points if they've signed up, or prompted to signup at the end of the transaction. I believe they also have been given the option to redeem rewards AFTER I've scanned all of their items (which shows up on the customer facing screen).
My register has been working great since day one, so I hope these issues didn't arrive after an update that someday I'll have to perform and jeopardize the ease of everything I'm already doing. My customers LOVE the ease of checking out in my store thanks to my Square Register.

@heyhojayjo it seems many options are available to the FREE version of Square but not paid subscribers like myself who has Square Retail. The business next to me and I both have Square Registers only they use the Square POS app (no monthly fee) and I Square Retail. They have many more options than I do and when I call Square about getting it added in I get the generic " Square Retail is a newer program that has a lot of catching up to do with out first program and our developers are working to get them fixed. Please submit a ticket." I have submitted many tickets since dropping 1k on this register only to have nothing resolved and no end in sight. Makes me want to downgrade some days. Heck even my Weebly and Square dont sync right ever and that still isnt resolved.
