Laggy Square for Restaurant since latest update
Hi SQ Team, I just want to bring it to your attention as other users are probably experiencing this ever since the latest software update for Square for Restaurant. The version is extremely laggy now.
It’s not my device’s issue as I rebooted the Square Register so many times but the issues still persist. I hope there is a fix soon.

We experienced issues on Register with the new layout and reverted back. It often freezes and a factory reset seems to help temporarily. They need to send an update to fix it.

How did you revert back, by doing a system reset?

Factory Reset may be the safest bet if you can but I'd speak to customer support about the specific issue you may have.

Also curious how you were able to revert/downgrade. This seems to be a global issue.
