My business sell boxes of cards adn packs of cards. A typical box of cards may contain 24 or 36 packs. Does the square software allow me to scan packs of cards and when 24 packs have been scanned of a specific item it automatically deducts a box from inventory. I think this is sometimes referred to as parent/child relationship. I wnat the software to allow me to sell inventory and box or pack form and automatically know to deduct a box from inventory when a certain amount of packs are sold.
Any help appreciated.

In this case, you would have to enter your stock units as packs, not cases. there is not a feature that has multiple versions of stock units, though I see how this could be helpful.

I a a little surprised becasue many software pos packages allow for this "parent-child" relationship. Are you sure it does not allow for this. Is there a plug-in or something that coudl make it work. It is actually very importna tfor our type business (probly others too) - such as a convenient store that sells beers individually or part of a six-pack. Ther eare many scenarios that coudl use this feature.

@BigLeague at this time it will not do this. You would have to enter your inventory in packs. Maybe the Square Team will see this and add it to the feature requests. Hope this helps.
