How to use/offer Square Installment payment to the client?

I would like to offer an installment payment to my customers. 

It's not very clear how does it work in detail, can I clarify?

1) I am in California, where can I check which state is eligible for installment or not?

2) When I send an invoice to a customer, will the customer see installment offer on the invoice?

3) Will the transaction fee be added on the customer's invoice?  Or will it be charged to my account?  Can I choose?

4) Once the customer's application for installment payment is approved, I am going to get the whole amount on the invoice from Square to my account in a few days.  Is this correct?

I appreciate if somebody can explain.

As far as I am aware, and I haven' heard or seen anything differently, Square installments has been stopped as of 2020.   They have acquired Aferpay in August of 2021, but when/if that becomes available to be used on Squares end is still TBD.

I couldn't understand why any USA companies don't offer monthly installment payment service,  it's very popular 

in other countries since long time ago.  
Now I understand why and officially stop searching the service.

Yes most definitely a very popular feature, and hopefully soon the integration with afterpay will *hopefully* be integrated with Square.
