How to change Square account when your spouse has died
Has anyone taken over the Square account for your business after a spouse has died?
I understand you have to start over with a new account, even if you've had the account for years. Is that true?

@DavidCamp First, my sincere condolences for your loss. I hope you are finding the support and strength that you need. To answer your question….
Square already provides a way to do what I think you are asking for.
Go to your online dashboard.
Click Accounts & Settings
Click Account
Click Personal Information
Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see a section titled “Transfer of Account.” Click the Start Account Transfer button. You will have to go through an identity verification process, as required by the Patriot Act. But it seems this should do what you need to do.
I wish you well,
