Does the display of an iPad mini the same as an iPhone or the same as the regular size iPad ?

Wanting to get an iPad mini for servers to bring to the table, but wondering if it displays the square app like the iPhone does or like the iPad regular size does.

Same as the iPad only a bit smaller.
