Do you need a Hub to use with a Square Reader?

Great Question.

The hub can be used to connect barcode scanners, external printers and cash drawers to your Square Terminal, as well as connect it to the internet via ethernet.

A Square Contactless and Chip Card Reader or Magstripe Reader could not benefit from the Square Hub.
