Do I need a Square Register in order to do Payroll (Employee timecards)?
I don't have a Square Register but would like to sign up for Payroll to have my two employees clock in/out and also process Direct Deposit paychecks to them. In order to have them clock in/out would I need to have a Square Register or can they access the timecard directly on their own phones by downloading the Square app?
you do not need the all in one square register, you can for sure use an iPad with the Square app. I am not sure if you can log in on your phone, @katieand is that available on the phone version of the square app?
Hi @wearemortals - @VanKalkerFarms is right! You can use Square Stand or POS with Payroll and for employees to clock in/out. There is a mobile app specifically for Payroll (also available on Android), but currently it only is for you (the employer) to run payroll.
