Delete 1099 Contractor - Do they still get 1099?

Hi! We have several 1099 contractors that we pay using Square Payroll. One of them just completed their job, and are done with us. If I delete them from payroll/team, will they still get a 1099? Or do I need to keep them active?

Your employees will still receive a 1099 as long as you only uncheck the "contractor" box in the Employment Type section. You'll want to ensure that you keep the box checked that says we will automatically file for 1099-MISC for your employees.
