Custom invoice number

How can I setup a custom invoice number format?

I am wanting to migrate from my old invoicing app and wish to preserve my current invoice number format

Hey Akadama,

Thanks for reaching out!

You can change the Invoice ID number when sending a new invoice via Square - in most cases, this invoice number format will then be preserved and automatically tick across to the next number in the series.

this solution did not work for me.  I created and sent an invoice and put a different number in the invoice number field. i have just created another invoice and it is reading 000002. How can i start a new series and go in order from the number i choose?

It's important to note that you can edit the Invoice Number field when creating a new invoice or recurring invoice, providing you haven't previously used that number on a past or existing invoice.
