2019 New In Box POS--exchange?

Life Happens, right?  I was gifted a square POS system from my daughters in 2019 to use on a dessert truck I was building.  Then Covid appeared and things went crazy.  Now I'm ready to get the business "rolling" 🙂   Am I able to return this to upgrade or am I ok with the older system?  I'd like to be able to take orders from my peeps waiting on line also, so the mobile handheld is enticing

The older system should be fine to get the ball rolling.  I am using a Square Stand with Ipad from 2019 with Card readers from the same time frame.  The Square systems update regularly so when you first connect it to the internet check for the newest versions since the installed version will need to be updated.  I am not sure which Square System you have but as far as I know they all should be fine after they have the newest updates for the operating system and for Square.   Then in the future you can upgrade or add on the mobile handheld Terminal and have the other system.  You could also install a Square app on your phone to take orders from people in line along with the Gifted POS system.

Thanks for your reply Keith! That's just where I was leaning 🙂  I finally cut the seal and opened up the box!  I got the Square Stand with chipless reader.  I also do have the swiper for the iPhone.  I'm going to watch some videos and learn a few things before I get too deep in my install.  Thank you so much for the help!
