Hi folks - I'm Jack, a PM on Square for Restaurants. With rising inflation and staffing issues, we're looking into ways to help restaurants better understand their customers to generate a more loyal, regular customer base.
I'm curious to learn from y'all:
- In the restaurant, what information about a customer might be useful to you and your employees?
- What information is not useful?
- Beyond amazing food and service, what tools and tricks do you use to develop a loyal customer base? Is it loyalty, text campaigns, responding to feedback?
- From the back office, how do you engage with your diners? email, text, too busy to do marketing?
Best,
Jack

Hi @jwheeler
- Useful info: name, phone #, email, frequent items, avg spend, most recent visit, total value or Lifetime Value
- I use Square Loyalty and LOVE it, it's been phenomenal for my business. Also, email marketing and I don't have text marketing in Canada yet or I would use that too.

We don't use square for restaurants But for us i think important info is name, email, visit frequency, order history.
We use square marketing and have not switched over to square loyalty yet, but we do use physical loyalty cards!

In the restaurant, what information about a customer might be useful to you and your employees? I like to see their average spend and when the last time they were in.
What information is not useful?
Beyond amazing food and service, what tools and tricks do you use to develop a loyal customer base? Is it loyalty, text campaigns, responding to feedback? Text campaigns work the best! It would be great to auto send reviews that push to google!
