Custom websites on the Square Register for staff to access specific webpages.

As you can imagine, when there are even a few Registers running at different locations, it becomes important for staff to submit issues and requests to the person dealing with POS for the whole business.

 

What I would like to request is that the Square Registers have a little section (in Utilities) that has a simple WebView (or a menu with multiple WebViews) that allow users to click a link and open a pre-defined webpage, such as a google form or staff intranet or other useful site such as training videos. Rather than have to use a laptop or their phone, especially as the Register is already an Android, it makes sense to use the functionality.

This would increase the efficiency of the whole system because it allows staff to ask for items to be added or changed, or report issues directly on the till.

Ideally the setup would be done on the Square Dashboard per device and potentially have different navigation menus for different user permissions.

Yes, we could do this if we simply used iPads, but we don't want to use them as the Square Register looks better, and actually has a few more features (like the payment screen). Plus I don't expect to have to buy another Square Register per store every 3 years...
