Variable shipping costs based on quantity

My widget, if a person orders 1 will fit in a 2x3x4 box and that weighs 2 lbs. These attributes are set in that widget's settings. Based on those settings, shipping costs are auto calculated to be say $8. Great.

But when a person orders 2 widgets, they fit in a 2x6x4 box that weighs 3 lbs. That should cost something like $10 but it auto calculates to like $20. Or worse when a person orders 4 of them it auto calculates to like $40 when it should be more like $18.

How can I say widget 1 fits in this box and weighs this much if they order 1 and weighs this much and fits in this box if they order 2, 3, 4, 5 etc? Asking for a friend

Hey @WarnBitters!

Thanks for posting in the Seller Community.

Perhaps one of our Super Sellers who has experience shipping orders with Square Online may have some insight:

**I know not all of the Super Sellers tagged have experience shipping orders, but I'm just tagging a few of you to see if you have some insight.

I apologize in advance as my shipping rates are set as flat rate per order, but you may be able to change this for weights in your settings. Try looking at >Shipping >>add shipping rate. Then you may see fields to add shipping costs between various weights. I would then suspect that for each item in your inventory you'd add your weight per item, and hopefully the total would be auto calculated. Hope this might help a bit.
