How to I adjust the notifications when I get messages from customers?

I use the standard Square POS app, the Invoices app and the Appointments app in my iPhone.

My issue is that when I get a message from a customer, my phone sends me 4-5 notifications for each message all at once: one from Square POS, one from Invoices, one from Appointments, one via email and another via text. 
How do I silence the other notifications so I only get notified from one app?

I'm not sure of which version you are using, be it Android or IOS. 

 

If you go into the specific app settings Long press the icon on Android) then choose App info.  From there you can scroll down and choose notifications then you can un-check  "Messages from your customers on Square messages.  This process should be the same for all apps.

I am on IPhone IOS and cannot find any way to silence message notification on each app. 

it's driving me crazy.

All I can do is silence notification entirely for the app, but then I won’t get notified of appointments, orders or invoice payments. I only want to silence message notifications.
