I'm looking for a way to have customers fill out a "new customer" form and any other paperwork needed for my business digitally. For example, when a new customer comes in and I collect their information, I'd like them to fill out the information on a iPad and when they click the submit button, I would like the info to be auto populated in my Square customer database.
Does something like this exist? Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Corey Kapanka

Hi @coreykapanka. I spent a little time looking through the Square App Marketplace to see if there was a third-party app you could connect to Square to do this. I wasn’t successful, but I didn’t exhaustively check everything out there. However, I do have a solution that should work for you. It will require a little set up and subscriptions to a few other apps.
My solution would be for you to create an online form to collect the customer information, using an app call Jotform. Then, you would set a web tool called Zapier to be triggered whenever a new customer submits a form. Zapier can be given instructions on how to create a Square Customer record from the Jotform data, and it can even alert you via email or text whenever new customer data is available in Square for you to review.
This is the simple outline of what goes on. It would involve getting a Jotform account and setting up the form; then, getting a Zapier account and using it to connect Jotform to Square. There may or may not be some nominal monthly fees associated with these two apps, depending on what you think your monthly volume of new customers will be.
I’m going to tag @Adamscottsmith on this thread. He’s a fellow Super Seller here in the community, and he actively uses Jotform and Zapier in his business to help him extend the functionality of Square like this. I’m sure he would have some guidance and suggestions that could help you, if you decided you wanted to go this route.
Otherwise, I’d suggest going to the Square App Marketplace and searching for “customers” to see if a third-party app exists that would do what you want.
Let me know if you have any questions.

@coreykapanka what kind of business do you have and what kind of information are you trying to collect. Some may require HIPPA compliance which is why I ask.
but using jotform and zappier would most likely be you best option. The only other option would be to put the app on the iPad for the register and open the customer create tab and give them that to fill out. Not the most ideal.
I would agree that it would be nice to have a customer profile link that we could share and would allow customers to fill out their own registration themselves.
I’ll look into some other ideas as well.
