So square has decided you cant use reference ID anymore without any explanation. This has made square POS useless to me. Until I find a new platform, this change will cost me thousands of dollars in lost time. THANKS SQUARE!!

Hey @Jen832. First, sorry to hear you are having issues with this. You didn’t ask for help, but I’m wondering if we fellow sellers might be able to help you work around this reference ID thing. Honestly, I haven’t gotten “the memo” about Square deciding we can’t use reference ID anymore without explanation. So I have no clue what you are referring to. But it IS possible I, or someone, might be able to keep you from losing thousands of dollars, if you would like us to try to help you.
If you would like to tap into our many years of experience and knowledge of Square, I would be willing to jump in and be the first to try to help you not lose thousands of dollars. It would be helpful to know how you use reference ID, what you use it for, and how not using it will cost you thousands of dollars. Giving us a scenario to go on — your flow that is now messed up and costing you thousands of dollars — would be a good place to start.

Hello @Jen832 - could you please share a bit more about how you are unable to use reference IDs anymore? Are you no longer seeing the reference ID field on customer profiles on your POS device?
If you could provide some details our team can investigate and see if there's a solution to the problem.
