What do you struggle with the most in balancing your personal life?

What a great question! Whenever someone asks me, “what’s the hardest part about owning a business?” I usually answer with something about struggling to balance it all. 

Family is so incredibly important to me and I never want my business to get in the way of that. 

We are sisters that own the shop so at the end of the day we remind ourselves to not neglect that relationship and try to create as many boundaries as possible.

Even if that’s just straight up saying, “okay we aren’t talking about work now.”

Planning social media content has helped too because I can set it and forget it and am not constantly on my phone! 

Square Teams has also helped! Feels like we have a specific area to talk “shop” and it frees up our texts and such for just regular life. 

it will never be perfect! Sometimes it may just be taking time away… that helps put things into perspective!

It can absolutely be so hard to maintain a family dynamic in a family business, and those strategies are huge -- I'm so glad they work for you! Making those work talk boundaries, and even using the separate app to keep work conversations separate are such great ideas.
