I would like to see a price override option.  This option will allow you to change the price of any item temporally "for this sale only" on the fly like at the POS counter on the register.  

IE. Customer comes to your location, selects an item they wish to buy and requests a lower price due to damage to item or other reasons...  (would need manager approval) you would touch the price of the item and change it. then a box would popup for reasons IE  Damage,late delivery, price was advertised at a lower price, price match at other stores etc... or Other "type in reason."

I dont think this is much to ask and would benefit everyone using the system

I would like to pull a report of only sales with sales tax. Not everything we do is taxable and I haven't figured out how to pull a report to pay sales tax.

Let square for restraunts store the creditcard information not just the name so tabs can be run.

Please allow those of us using your retail application to be able to VOID a transaction!!!!!

Refunding is not appropriate, screws up inventory and bank reconciliation, when a simple VOID would suffice! I see you offer it in your restaurant application, so why not in retail?????

I would like to easily add a sale to all items ;like for Black Friday. I also would want to see custom on sale banners, as the red one does not match all websites. I think being able to add videos to website designs as well would be good.

I wish that when someone puts in a credit card for no-show protection that it would save the info to charge the appt as well. So time consuming to track down non-paid invoices when clients think they have already paid for the appt cause they put in credit card info when they made the appt. The save card card to file option is not as obvious as you might think.

I wish there was a banning ability in Appointments for service  providers as well as the ability to mark as no show and auto charge the fee to a card!

Tip carry over for tipped employees.  Remove net negative pay from payroll.  Square payroll should be able to calculate the exact amount of tip recorded for each employee to zero out their pay.  If tips exceed this number, those tips should be accumulated for the employee to claim at the end of the year from their w-2.  Most payroll services do this.

Would like to be able to customize the description of service items when I add them to the invoice or quote. Right now I can only customize the price and add a separate note.

I have a Squareup website and as much as I love it the backend is really not user-friendly. I am in a local users group where we are trying our best to get our websites working. Here are some of our concerns and notes. 

The text should be a reshapable box - so should images, for anywhere. 

You should have an option for recurring events that will have multiple days. 

Stories and resize - Add more than one image in a content box in stories. And be able to resize photos and or text. 

Should be able to delete photos from your photo album.

In the text-only section and you provide a link when you go to do another section and you don’t want that link -if you toggle the button- it removes all of the links on the page. If you don’t have a link-it says “click here” which is a link that you cannot remove and you cannot remove the text. 

Want the ability to sync by variations, not by item 

Need an option to copy to all when listing items. 

Should have the option to tailor website and not be stuck to a template. 

Adjust banner sizes. 

We need subcategories- in the menu-  to shop- all subcategories are not an option in the pull-down menu.

I would like for Square to be able to better distribute tips when tip pooling is automated within the system. For example, there is no way for our business to tip out the barbacks and food runners their portion of credit card tips through the current auto tip pooling calculations. I know this is a tedious matter of coding and equations, but we cannot utilize the automatic tip pooling and distribution function because we cannot adjust the variable parameters that apply to the disbursement(s).

my clients buy a lot of retail and having to go enter in each item individually takes forever. I wish i could choose the category and enter in however items i need all at once instead of having to choose the category each time and enter it one item at a time. i think it used to be like this a while ago, and then with an update it changed.

Square for restaurants:

Have the option to take pickup & delivery orders from walk ins or phone orders.  

Be able to choose dine option (delivery or pickup), customer lookup, populate customer contact info on printed kitchen tickets & receipts for host, driver, etc. Setup an automatic delivery fee when dine option is delivery, etc.

A Notes section for the reports so at the end of the day I can add in a notes saying it was a rain day/ reason it was slow or busy.That way when I look at past reports I can see why I think sales were up/down that day

The ability to allow customers to schedule a slot (for a class or other group setting) within an appointment at a certain time. It would be great if the online booking platform allowed Square businesses to create "class" appointment times with a certain number of spots/seats, so that more than one but only a certain number could be reserved by customers.

qr codes or inventory tracking that can hook with scanners to scan wholesale items while taking in orders.

I would LOVE to see the option for requiring ID for certain purchases i.e. alcohol/tobacco purchases! OR even better, the ability to scan or swipe an ID to collect DOB before allowing purchase!

I have gone through the trouble of making a modifier for all of my items but it only alerts cashiers to check ID without anyway to make it a requirement before moving on with the purchase. This has got to be one of the biggest missing components from Square!

Money/Income Goals

Especially with the new year coming, business goals are so important and I would love an option that allows us to put in Monthly/quarterly/yearly (Especially yearly) goals that automatically keep track for us in the Dashboard to know how close we are to our goals!

Easy!!! PLEASE make coupon codes applicable to square invoices! I pay a lot for the marketing features but cannot use coupon codes for my clients 😫
